As a mom of two boys, I am constantly looking for anything to make my life easier and most importantly keep them happy. One of the constant battles in our house is shoes. I remember when my 24 month old got his first pair of shoes and how I was clueless as to boy shoes let alone baby shoes. Since he was a winter baby, I always tried to keep shoes on him because they helped his socks on and because I feel if his head and feet are warm then the rest of him will be. Well back then there were not many choices and they all seemed so-so, and the ones we did buy were expensive and definitely not worth the price. Now that my son is 2, we are looking for toddler shoes that are easy to put on, yet comfortable and light. I am also looking for strong and lasting shoes so I can hopefully pass them on to my other child.

So here I was looking for shoes for my 24 month old and my 7 month old, since there are so many cute styles out now. In my search, I came across the company ShooShoos which has the slogan “Simply the best for little growing feet!” ShooShoos began in 1996 and has spread to become a worldwide brand in over 40 countries. They have a commitment to provide the best baby shoes and have been featured in numerous television shows and magazines!
I am in love now with ShooShoos! First off they are made of soft natural leather so you know they are good quality and not cheap shoes that will fall apart. Next comes the design: Light, Flexible, and durable. Finally pediatricians recommend them, so you know they will be great for your child’s growing feet. I remember worrying that my son would crawl or walk funny if he did not have the proper shoes.

The soft soled baby shoes in leather come in sizes: (S) 0-6m, (M) 6-12m, (L) 12-18m, and (XL) 18-24m. There are also so many choices of styles that it is hard to buy just one pair of these baby shoes! Their other line is new and called “ShooShooes Smileys.” There are not too many sizes and styles of these yet, but since it is new the possibilities are endless. These shoes come in US Sizes: (5) 12-16m, (6) 16-20m, (7) 20-24, and (8) 24-28m. There is a sizing chart available to measure and match your child’s foot size so you get just the right pair.

I was lucky enough to receive a pair of their new line for my 24 month old in the Denim/Silver Smiley Sports style. My son loves them and I actually had to wait until he fell asleep to take them off the first time. As soon as they wear on his feet he was immediately stomping all over the house and I think he loved how light and flexible they are. I love of course that I can quickly slip them on his feet and there are no shoe laces. So far we have worn these out to the mall and received compliments at the play center there and I put them on him if we are going to play in our basement as they are nicer then slippers! I remember his first pair of rubber soled shoes were heavy and stiff, far from the awesome quality and craftsmanship of ShooShoos. I am actually looking forward to my 7 month old walking so I can get him a pair! Right now though I love their soft soled baby shoes and feel good putting them on him.
