Bumble Bee Well Miles = Walk off the weight and support Breast Cancer!

Submitted by on April 24, 2009 – 2:45 AMNo Comment

Now that the weather is getting nice, I am looking forward to walking around the neighborhood with the kids. Something about being outside breathing the fresh air while walking away some calories is so refreshing. I admit I am far from a regular excerciser, but walking is one thing I do love especially when it is in nice brisk weather. So when I came across Bumble Bee Foods BeeWell Miles program I was excited. Not only is it about making a difference in your waistline but it also supports breast cancer.

From 4/1/09-10/31/09, Bumble Bee Foods will donate $0.15 per mile for every mile logged at BeeWellMiles.com (up to $200,000) to help Breast Cancer Network of Strength provide emotional support. All you have to do is visit their website every day you walk or run and log the miles. It is super easy and not only will it benefit me but also I can feel good about this higher cause. I am fortunate that I do not have anyone with Breast Cancer in my family or friends, but as a woman it is always something I think about. I mean if I logged the few miles I walk every day and my friends did the same thing, it would all really add up, quickly!

I love that Bumble Bee Foods is going above and beyond by setting up this program and they also have some great resources on their website. BeeWell Miles has resources to interact with healthy living experts, calculators to discover the calories you burn with your miles, calculate your route’s mileage, and interacting with others. It is such a great and informative site. Plus, each day you log your miles or games codes from pink Bumble Bee cans you could instantly win one of $15,000 prizes!
