Luckily with my boys, I have never had to worry about upset tummies; they both seem to have no problem in that department! I know though things change, especially with growing and changing, that it doesn’t hurt to be prepared. We are actually going through a phase now where Gavin (10 months) is transitioning to more table food and Aidan (27 months) is actually finally starting to eat more! With changing and increasing diets and different foods, sometimes come upset stomachs. Also, some medicines, certain diseases, travel, and stress, can cause an upset of the balance of microorganisms in your child’s body. For example, did you know that in every child there are billions of microorganisms that keep their intestines working properly?
That is where Florastor Kids comes in. Florastor Kids is a probiotic made of live dried yeast cells of the species Saccharomyces boulardii lyo formed into a powder and sealed into packets. Probiotics help the good organisms in your body to grow and protect your intestines against “bad” organisms that can make you sick. Basically, Florastor Kids helps maintain normal balance of the microorganisms in the gut. So no more bowel problems, especially diarrhea!
Florastor Kids Features:
• Clinical studies shown it as an effective dietary supplement
• Suitable for kids ages 2 months to adults.
• Okay to take with antibiotics.
• Helps reduce bloating and gas often caused by an imbalance of microorganisms.
• Packages checked multiple times by no fewer than 16 doctors to ensure that live yeast cells are both “good” and present in the correct amount prior to being packaged and sold.
• Is a natural product that will not harm intestines?
• Guaranteed for up to 3 years when stored properly and no refrigeration needed.
When I tried this out with Aidan and Gavin, I slipped the packet into their juice. They didn’t notice a taste difference and gladly finished their juice. It is similar to a fiber supplement for adults that you mix with a liquid. I like that Florastor is tasteless and comes in individual packages, which makes it easy to mix in quickly! Now with the food transitions we have been having, Florastor will hopefully keep them healthy and comfortable. This would be a great product though for kids who are having bowel problems or are typically bloated.
What does Florastor Kids do?
• Maintains the balance of good microorganisms in the gut
• Keeps the intestines functioning properly
• Promotes intestinal health.
• Improves consistency of bowel movements.

Thanks for the post on Florastor. I found a probiotic product made by Sedona Labs called iFlora Multi-Probiotic. They have a formula for kids, women, adults, and even a sinus health one (www.sedonalabs.com)…Have you ever tried it? I’ve heard good things about Florastor too, and thanks to your great review I’ll check it out!

My kids’ stomach aches are always gas-related, so I help them into positions that supposedly help the gas come out.

When my son has a stomach ache i rub his belly down with ssothing lotion. The smell sooths him and the belly rub makes the ache temporarily go away. He normally will fall asleep, and of course give him something to take to take the pain away.

My 5-month old has had painful tummy aches for the past three months. We have tried switching formulas, but no luck. When she has a tummy ache, I rub her tummy clockwise with a warm wet washcloth. Sometimes it also helps when I give her a bath.
When my daughter has a tummy ache, we use mylicon and massage her. She only gets to drink juice (like pedialite) if she’s sick, so it’s kind of a perk of being sick to her!
Thanks for the giveaway!
