Book Review: Jungle Jack’s The Wackiest, Wildest, and Weirdest Animals in the World By Jack Hanna

My 28 month old son is not a book lover, hopefully that changes as he gets older, he is an animal lover. I mean we have watched Madagascar 1 and 2 a million times and even though Aidan can’t speak yet he knows the animals and points at them. Since Aidan is an animal lover, when I saw the book “Jungle Jack’s The Wackiest, Wildest, and Weirdest Animals in the World,” I knew we had to check it out. Honestly, I don’t like animals, but I do love to read and this book was so funny and informational!

“Jungle Jack” is referring to none other than the famous animal expert Jungle Jack Hanna. Throughout this very colorful and visual hardcover book, Jack goes through some of the “wackiest, wildest, and weirdest” animals and shows actual photographs of them and each one has a humorous and interesting fact about them. I really enjoyed reading about all these animals and I found myself laughing at the thirty animals he features. I can’t wait for Aidan to start reading and understanding more about animals to appreciate this book. Right now, he loves to look at the pictures and the best part that I didn’t mention yet, was the bonus DVD this book comes with! The DVD features hilarious bloopers from Jack Hanna’s Emmy award-winning show, Jack Hanna’s Into the Wild, and other shows from his career.

With the funny yet factual book and the DVD, “Jungle Jack’s The Wackiest, Wildest, and Weirdest Animals in the World,” would be a great gift and read for anyone, young or old! Also, you don’t have to be an animal lover to enjoy and appreciate this book!

Thanks so much to Thomas Nelson Publishers for allowing me the opportunity to review this book!

Thanks for the information on this book! My granddaughter just loves to look at pictures of animals, so I know she’ll love this now and continue to enjoy it as she learns moe about them.
