Sweet Tomatoes Review

Submitted by on August 30, 2009 – 4:36 PMNo Comment

A few weeks ago I posted a giveaway for Sweet Tomatoes coupons and now I wanted to share my review with you! I had to hurry up and post my giveaway because the coupons I was giving away were expiring, but since then we have went and loved it! It was me, my husband, my 11-year-old sister and my two boys (1 and 2 years old) and I think for once all of us enjoyed ourselves.

When you first walk in to Sweet Tomatoes, you encounter a huge (and I mean huge) salad bar. It has all different types of lettuce, pre-made salads, some fruit, cold pasta, and so much more that I know I am forgetting. My plate was actually overflowed onto the tray, but in my defense I was getting enough for me and the kiddos. Then you pay and seat yourself. At any point then you can just get up and help yourself to their different pasta dishes, pizza, bread, homemade soups, fruit, ice cream and dessert! It was just such a nice and refreshing buffet and it had so much to choose from. Oh and every few weeks the Sweet Tomatoes menu changes out certain items to feature a country! For example, right now they have Mexican-inspired dishes included.

I loved how there was no greasy food or overcooked items, everything was fresh and constantly being cooked and replaced. It also helps that I am a big soup and salad lover, but even my meat-obsessed husband couldn’t complain about anything. He loved the chili and alfredo pasta. My kids ate everything and my sister had a few loaves of bread and chili! Then we all had ice cream with sprinkles or chocolate cookies.

As far as prices go, it is around $10 for adults and $6 for kids (3-11 yrs. old.) then $3 for drinks. There used to be coupons in the Sunday paper coupon inserts, but I haven’t noticed them lately. Also, if you sign up for the Club Veg newsletter, you will get $75 in savings throughout the year. But even though I hate to go anywhere without a coupon, I feel I definitely get my moneys worth there.
