    ABOUT:

    Audiovox D1809 portable DVD player gives you the ability to enjoy a home theater experience away from home. Make time fly on a road trip, commute to work or plane ride. Other accessories include A/V cable, car power adapter, remote control and AC adapter.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    I love having this portable DVD player!  I didn’t think we would use it, but I find that we are using it more and more!  Currently we have cheap DVD players attached in my van, and we have a regular DVD player in our family room, but I have found so many uses for this DVD player.  It is very slim and fits perfectly in my bag so I can bring it with to family functions and I may even bring it with us if we got to a restaurant, with headphones of course!  I purcahsed a portable DVD player about four years ago and it was so cheap feeling and the battery never held a charge.  This Audiovox DVD player built to last and the battery seems to be holding an awesome charge!  I love that it makes it easy to hook up to a TV and it comes with a car adapter.  I took this DVD player right out of the box, plugged it in, and put in a DVD and my son was thrilled to be watching Curious George up in the office with me!  I think I will bring it outside too this summer and we can have a movie night outside.  I am also planning on bringing this on vacation with us to keep my boys occupied!

    Overall, I recommend the Audiovox Portable DVD player (Model D1809) for its recharageable battery, built-in speakers, widescreen capability, and option to play DVD, CD and JPEG movies.  It is definitely a much better DVD player than the cheap one I had!  The picture also looks awesome on it!

      My brother gave my little girl an audiovox portable dvd player when she was 2. It took a licking and kept on ticking until just recently (and she is now 7). We just plain wore it out and dropped it a few too many times. My brother has since passed away and I don’t want to get rid of our old one since it was a gift from him, but I sure would like a new one that works.

      We use our dvd player for everything in the car, camping. It keeps the smallest kids to the biggest kids (husband content) tee hee. When the grandkids are over for a visit we hook it up so they can watch their favorite dvds. Anywhere in the house. It is great. Camping keeps my husband entertain at night when everything is quiet. I know what is camping without TV! I use the portable dvd player for my nanny children when transporting them around to different events. We all love it! can not live without it.

      You know this would be perfect for our family. I recently purchased a mini van to haul my 5 children around. We were all riding in a 1985 nissan pathfinder which was nice but stacking 5 children, me and my husband was more of a chore and aggrivation we decided to buy a later model minivan. We were blessed to find a one-owner for a 1998 caravan sport. We used our income tax refund. We were so proud. Fast forward two(2), yes I said two(2) days later my husband was dropping the older kids off at high school and a boy who didn’t have insurance rammed his car into the side of our “brand new to us” minivan! lol
      Good news the car had insurance!! Although the minivan has not been the same in our eyes. We opted to fix the van ourselves, and pur the money saved toward our pathfinder which needed a new transmission. fast forward again…We are still blessed to have what we have. So about the product My family would love this..I would love this! This would be convienant, fun, like a driveinn movie in our beloved “new to Me” minivan!!!!:> Oh I almost forgot we also have an audivox dvd in our house. We love it!! We have movie night/junkfood night and watch a comedy usually and of course a cartoon like johnnie test for the little one who is four……
