For nearly fifteen years, fitness and nutrition expert Lindsay Brin, has been helping women achieve healthier bodies and minds. She has starred, choreographed, and designed 13 fitness DVDs for weight loss and in 2005 she started Moms Into Fitness. Lindsay is also a fitness expert for two magazines as well as a contributor to The Healthy Belly.
The first thing I love about Lindsay is that she is a mom who wants to help other moms. Through her fitness programs, DVDs, and she is even a spokesperson for Fertility Lifelines to help women become mothers!
Now since I have had my sons, I have barely exercised and when I say barely I mean pretty much not at all. Not that I exercised that much before but I have definitely noticed my weight gain and according to Lindsay’s Free Meal Plan & Calculator, (It is awesome though as it tells you suggested meals and recipes to use!) I weigh about 50 pounds overweight for my height! Yikes! So now I am extremely motivated to work out and shed any pounds I possibly can so I was thrilled to check out Lindsay’s Shed 5 Fast DVD. It says you will loose 5 pounds or more in the first three weeks!
First I will say I am intimidated any fitness DVD. I usually can’t keep up or they do things that I can’t do! (They put their foot where?) The Shed 5 Fast DVD is a great DVD though and Lindsay is so positive and friendly throughout it. She also makes a great point right off the bat saying this DVD is only a 30 minute workout and there are 1440 minutes in the day, so she wants us to really try for those 30 minutes for her! Now I haven’t had the chance to have a routine yet as I am waiting for my son to go back to preschool next month, but I have completed the DVD a few times so far and it is not that bad! The DVD has two workouts on it so you can switch it up both totaling 30 minutes each. Lindsay Brin also uses the 3/3 Interval method for the most effective fat burning workout which is 3 minutes of toning using multiple muscle groups to boost metabolism, and 3 minutes of martial arts/kickboxing to melt fat away. Whether you are want beginner, intermediate or advance, this DVD is great for anyone.
Overall, I really like the Shed 5 Fast DVD with Lindsay Brin and I am excited to try using it out more regularly (it recommends exercising 3-5 times per week for 30 minutes) When I am looking to change things up, Lindsay has a ton of other great DVD’s that she offers and I am curious to try out (especially the Dance Jam!) Best of all, Lindsay seems down to earth and nice, she doesn’t say I have to eat healthy all the time, but rather that if I give into every craving every time, I will not loose weight.
