Creativity for Kids Shrinky Dinks Monster Lab Review (& Giveaway Ends 1/7)

ABOUT:

Creativity for Kids was built upon a dream of inspiring children all around the world through creative and enriched activities.  Creativity for Kids products are designed in the USA by a team of real people who are parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles themselves.  Before our products ever hit the shelf, they are subjected to rigorous testing and they must conform to all US toy safety standards. In our 31+ year history, we’ve never experienced a recall.  This is a result of holding ourselves to a higher standard to ensure that children will have premium quality creative experiences and parents can rest easy knowing their children will be safe using our products.

MY THOUGHTS:

Creativity for Kids is one of my favorite companies because they sell adorable kits with everything you need in one great kit.  As I have said before I am not a crafty mama so I need all the help I can get when it comes to craft time with my kids.  I am a big fan of the Creativity for Kids kits and I have never once been disappointed.  When I was little one of my favorite crafts was Shrinky Dinks and I love that Creativity for Kids has brought them back!  Their latest kit is the Shrinky Dinks Monster Lab.

Shrinky Dinks Monster Lab (#1895)

Are you ready for some extreme Shrinky Dink fun? Get ready to color, bake and shrink the most creative creatures ever! The Shrinky Dinks Monster Lab includes 50+ pre-cut Shrinky Dinks, Faber-Castell color EcoPencils, brads, chenille stems, wiggly eyes and more. When you are finished, place them inside the 3-D pop-up laboratory. This craft kit is perfect for play and display. The Laboratory measures 16″ x 7 3/4″ x 6″. This is a spook-tacular kit for Halloween too!

Since I have two boys, I knew this kit would be a hit for them and love that it gave them something to do in the wintertime.  This kit comes with more than 50 Shrinky Dinks to color and a 3-D pop up Playscape Laboratory! Shrinky Dinks are pre-cut designs that you color and then bake in the oven for a few minutes.  They then shrink down to a third of their original size but become thicker.  It is almost as fun to color them as it is to watch them in the oven!  My boys were amazed, and thought it was magic!  The kit includes everything you need including colored pencils, chenille stems, craft glue, character stands, wiggly eyes and more!  We sat down at the table, opened the box, colored our Shrinky Dink monsters, baked them, decorated them with eyes and pipe cleaners and finally placed them on stands are the laboratory.  It was so much fun to do together, even though my 2 and 3 year old sons are not the best in coloring!  I am saving this set to display every Halloween but it is a great kit to decorate anytime of the year.

BUY IT: You can find Creativity for Kids Kits are various craft stores, learning stores, and toys stores, just check the store locator for the nearest reseller!  Also, you can purchase any of the kits right off the Creativity for Kids website!
