How Do You Promote Your Blog?

Okay so I have been thinking about expanding my blog from business cards to other promotional-type items.  I would never completely eliminate business cards but I think sometimes other items are nice too.  For example, my mom is a power seller on eBay and since business cards could get lost easily in her packing material, I had some postcards made up like my business cards for her.  Now she adds in my blog postcard when she ships something to a customer.  It is cheap advertising for me and hopefully it is getting me new readers!

In addition to postcards I have been thinking about promotional pens.  I once read that they are the best marketing material out there because everyone uses pens and they get left places so others see them and so forth.  I know for me I always look at the advertising on pens because I used to think it was so expensive to get done, but really it isn’t too bad!  Haven’t decided yet though, so I may only get a few and go from there.  I may even get myself a nice engraved pen to use when I am out!

Finally I was thinking about some nice thank you cards with really cool envelopes.  I would say 1 out of 5 times I have to ship a prize or gift card so I usually like to send it with a nice card and since the first thing the person sees is the envelope I was thinking of incorporating my logo or something like that on it.

I know I am rambling, but just thinking about ways to promote my blog outside of the Internet.  If you have a blog or business, is there anything you do other than business cards – whether online or offline?
