Temptations by JELL-O Review (& Giveaway Ends 4/1)

ABOUT:

JELL-O has just launched their new line of desserts called Temptations. They are layered, indulgent desserts at only 150 calories or less per serving.

The new line is available in nine delectable flavors of refrigerated ready-to-eat cups and at-home mixes.

The individual cups begin with real pie filling and are layered with scrumptious fruit, whipped or chocolate topping. Flavors include:

Apple Custard Pie
Double Chocolate Pie
Raspberry Cheesecake
Lemon Meringue Pie
French Silk Pie
Strawberry Cheesecake

Also, for those who like at-home mixes and quick baking, JELL-O has come out with Temptations at-home mixes. The mixes include two packets, one that, when combined with milk, creates a creamy, sweet filling layer, and another for the rich, smooth topping. Flavors include:

Boston Crème Pie
Chocolate Mousse Decadence
Chocolate Truffle Indulgence

MY THOUGHTS:

I got the chance to try out all these new yummy products and flavors, and I can say they are delicious! I am a total snacker and now that I am pregnant I am trying to snack a little better, but of course still indulge myself. The new flavors allow me to have a great variety of choices (since you know pregnant women can never make up their minds) and they are low calorie treats. I am also not a pie or cheesecake person at all but I don’t mind these pudding flavors! Now I can say I had Apple Custard Pie without actually eating a pie!

I love how the pudding cups have the name of dessert on it and how many calories it has.

The at-home packets are nice because they come with a filling mix and topping. You just add milk and anytime you can have a yummy JELL-O treat. After whisking the filling mix and milk, you pour into eight glasses and pour the topping over the pudding – then refrigerate for 30 minutes. These are nice too because the flavors available are not available in the smaller individual pudding cups. I like to have these on hands because the expiration is a lot longer than the pudding cups that typcially expire with months, while the box mixes last over a year. I didn’t have eight separate glasses to use so I used one big bowl, which it may not have been the prettiest but it was still good! These are still low calorie desserts as they are around 130 calories per serving.

Overall, JELL-O has definitely done it again and come out with yummy treats that I don’t feel guilty eating and there are so many great choices. Also, I don’t know if it is just cause I’m pregnant but I need at least two of these JELL-O cups to satisfy my cravings. They are regular sized JELL-O pudding cups I think but they are just so good I can’t stop at one! My favorites are the Double Chocolate Pie and Lemon Meringue Pie! All the puddings though are rich in flavor and creamy in texture, perfect for a quick snack or to take on the go!
