Thanks and More!
So by now hopefully you have noticed my name change, and now my new banner and button! I have to say a huge thanks to Kassie from Southern Bella’s Ways to Save for working with me to now only get the design I wanted but also getting it done for me quickly! She is not only a great blogger but also an awesome designer, who I am proud to call my friend!
I met Kassie at BlogHer 2009 in Chicago and while we only had a few hours together to talk, we have stayed in touch ever since. We met again at the Disney Social Media Moms conference in 2010 and will be seeing each other again at the Disney Social Media conference of 2011. She is great to go back and forth with for ideas, talk about our vampire obsession, vent about our crazy lives, and even though she lives in Tennessee (I’m in Illinois) it doesn’t matter. She also helped me through my WordPress switchover which we both did at the same time.
When I started blogging, making friends was not something I thought of, but I have met some really great women from it. I am amazed at how friendly and supportive most bloggers are (yes there is always the bad one in the bunch) and have made some friends that I couldn’t imagine not having. Of course Facebook and email helps, since we all live busy lives but I think a real friend is someone that even if you haven’t seen them in over a year, you can still pick up like no time has passed.
So thank you to Kassie for all your help (and making my pain in the butt changes) and thanks to all the other bloggers out there who have welcomed me with open arms. I also want to add that while bloggers may seem intimidated, you would definitely be surprised over how down to earth most are!
Awwww I value our friendship SO much. Who else would understand my love for a sexy blonde vampire and then can follow me in switching topics to making money and family on a whim.
