2011 Ultimate Blog Party: Welcome to Mom and More!

About Me:

My name is Cher and I am a SAHM of two boys, Aidan (4) and Gavin (2.5) with a girl due in July.  We live in a western suburb of Chicago and I hope to never move again!  My kids are at the age where they fight a lot and drive me crazy, but they also love to cuddle and give kisses!  My wonderful husband works hard and goes to graduate school.

I started blogging in August 2008 because I was sick of repeating my coupon deals and other ways of making money to my friends and family.  So I started my blog and told them to read it to see ways to save money and make money.  Before I started my blog, I honestly thought they were dumb as I thought they were all online journals about personal problems.  Boy was I wrong!  Some of my favorite websites back then I soon realized were actually blogs!  So I started out on Google Blogger and within a few days I was up and running. So in the beginning I posted deals and coupons and survey sites I used, hence the name Mama’s Money Savers.  Then around August 2009 I started to really get into product reviews and giveaways.  Soon I was doing at least one everyday.  I have done reviews on so many different products and websites that I couldn’t even list them all if I tried!

Last month I decided on a whim to finally change my name to “Mom and More” since I am barely focused on coupons and deals and I wanted to have a name that I can grow with.  I picked the name kinda out of no where, but was thinking how I am a “Mom, daughter, sister, wife, friend, cousin and so on…”

I hope to share as much as I can with my blog.  I have definitely come a long way in the blogging world since I started and I have worked with so many amazing companies and made some great friends through blogging.  I am by no means an expert but I do like to try out new things hence my numerous design changes, blogspot to .com to wordpress site, and my other daily changes!

ABOUT THE ULTIMATE BLOG PARTY:

Okay so I am always looking to meet new bloggers and just communicate better with the bloggers I already read.  (I read tons of blogs but I am awful at commenting on them!)  I also love ‘chatting’ with my readers.

Well now there is a party going on from April 1st-8th, that is all about blogging, both for bloggers and readers.  What happens is all the bloggers sign up on a McKlinky showcasing a post introducing themselves and mentioning their social media links.  Oh did I forget to mention there will be prizes!  You can check out the prizes HERE. (I am giving away a $25 Amazon gift card over there!)

Both bloggers and non-bloggers just need to comment on the 5 Minutes for Mom Ultimate Blog Party Post 2011.  Prizes will awarded by a random draw done by the 5 Minutes for Mom founders.  There will also be giveaways going on separately on many of the party blogs – including mine!
