Watch Buddy, Tiny, Shiny and Don hatch from their eggs! Just place the egg in water and wait for it to crack. Within 24 hours, the characters begin to hatch from eggs. Dinosaur Train: Dino Track Discovery Pack

Create hours of dino tracking fun and step-by-step learning with the Dino Track Discovery Pack. Simply lay out one of three sets of dinosaur footprints and follow the tracks to discover which character’s footprints you tracked. Are they Buddy’s, Tiny’s or Tank’s footprints? Each footprint includes fun dinosaur facts about one of 30 different dinosaurs. Once you’ve reached the end of the trail and discovered who you followed, find the activity egg card for fun things to do with the whole family! Includes 30 footprint cards: 10 Buddy tracks, 10 Tiny tracks and 10 Tank tracks. Ages 4 and up. SRP: $12.99.

Dinosaur Train: Mini Dino Projectors

Have fun with Buddy and Tiny as you project them on your wall with the Mini Dino Projector. Place one of six dino images on the flashlight holder, turn it on and project onto any wall or flat surface. Project dinosaur footprints on your floor, the Dinosaur Train on your wall or even scare your friends and family with the BIG dinosaur slide! Characters include: Buddy and Tiny. Ages 3 and up. MY THOUGHTS:

My boys are big Dinosaur Train fans because 1) there’s dinosaurs and 2) there’s a train! I love that they dinosaurs are all friends and learn new things and I bet in a few years my boys will understand more about the different species. Right now they just love the characters and how they ride a train! Having toys associated with the show is nice because I think it helps my boys see that there is something fun (and educational) outside of television that can include their favorite characters.

The Dinosaur Train Hatchers are very cool. They come in a hard egg shell that you put into water for 24-28 hours and out hatches a dinosaur – up to 4 times their size! Then you can pull it out and play with it, although it does shrink down to size. I luckily received two of the Hatchers, which was lucky because I had some trouble getting it out of the package and dropped the egg on my floor which it then cracked open – I put it in the water anyways since Buddy will grow at least. My boys checked on those eggs multiple times throughout the day to see if anything happened and were so excited when the one had a little crack in it. I explained that they needed to sleep in the water overnight and hopefully tomorrow morning something will happen! My 2 year old especially was very protective of the eggs and watched them like a science experiment. I think the Hatchers are great for young kids to see how animals hatch out of eggs and then they get to play with them!

The Dino Track Discovery Pack is a set of 30 dinosaur footprints that have fun trivia on them and allow kids to walk on them as they learn about Buddy, Tiny and Tank. My boys thought it was cool to walk on dino footprints and try to figure out which dinosaur they belong to. I will say though that even though this pack is for ages 3 and up, my boys didn’t really understand the facts on the cards as much as a child ages 5-6 would. They still thought it was cool and fun, but I think boys and girls that are a few years old might get more out of it. It is really though a great set for any dinosaur lover at heart as it has general dinosaur facts on them, not necessarily pertaining to the show.
