The Mentalist and The Mole

Submitted by on September 25, 2011 – 10:07 AMNo Comment

The third season of The Mentalist ended with Patrick Jane killing Red John, or did he?  The season though focused on Patrick trying to figure out who the mole was and honestly I went back and forth over who it was.  Was it O’Laughlin, LaRoche, or that other guy.  How could someone even be a mole for Red John!  I am terrible at guessing who the suspect or certain character is, even though I know it is usually the person I least suspect.  I suppose though that is what makes a great television show is the suspense and drama that makes people want more!

I know the show has to build up the characters and I think The Mentalist does a great job.  While each episode has its cases to solve, Patrick Jane constantly battled with finding Red John and the mole, I can only imagine how much he wanted to find Red John.  Patrick does a great job too of piecing together the clues and keeping the audience in suspense.

I did have my suspicions about Agent Craign O’Laughlin being Red John’s mole.  Something about him just didn’t seem right and now of course that I know he was the one, I am having the “A Ha” moment!  Did you know who it was?
