Their newest campaign involves a partnership with Habitat for Humanity and baseball legend/philanthropist Cal Ripken, Jr. Energizer is donating more than $300,000 and 1,000 volunteer hours to Habit for Humanity through a multi-city series of projects to help build new homes and revitalize existing homes for those in need.
Beyond Habitat for Humanity, Energizer is doing something for the everyday consumer. Through the Energizer Utility Cash program, you can collect codes from select Energizer battery and lighting products and redeem them online for savings, up to $25 total savings each per person/household/email address, off your own utility bill. You start earning rewards with just two codes and will need 10 codes total to earn the full $25. Or you can help make a positive impact and choose to turn the codes into a donation to Habitat for Humanity.

I am constantly running around turning lights off after children, I have started docking their allowance 50 cents each time they leave a light on. I also keep everything unplugged that I can.
Our library has the electrip monitors that you can check out and they will tell you how much electricity you are using.

I try to make sure lights, tv’s, radio’s are off when we are not in those rooms. I unplug everything that doesn’t need to be plugged in, like at night I unplug the power strip in the living room, etc. Try to only use natural light during the day.

We have been buying energy efficient light bulbs; they cost a bit more but they last longer and save energy use. We also unplug non-necessary appliances when not in use.
We save money by trying to be cognizant on turning off lights, keeping the air conditioning off, unplugging things when they aren’t in use, etc.

We keep the lights off in the rooms we aren’t using, we unplug our phone chargers when not in use & I cook out on the grill alot.

I have most of our electronics on power strips. Even if your items aren’t on, they are still using some electricity. Turning them off on a strip saves you a little money, and every bit counts.
