Their newest campaign involves a partnership with Habitat for Humanity and baseball legend/philanthropist Cal Ripken, Jr. Energizer is donating more than $300,000 and 1,000 volunteer hours to Habit for Humanity through a multi-city series of projects to help build new homes and revitalize existing homes for those in need.
Beyond Habitat for Humanity, Energizer is doing something for the everyday consumer. Through the Energizer Utility Cash program, you can collect codes from select Energizer battery and lighting products and redeem them online for savings, up to $25 total savings each per person/household/email address, off your own utility bill. You start earning rewards with just two codes and will need 10 codes total to earn the full $25. Or you can help make a positive impact and choose to turn the codes into a donation to Habitat for Humanity.

I wash my clothes in cold water and only do full loads.

To save money I turn all electronics and lights off when leaving the house or when not in use and I make sure to turn the ac/heat up or down when we are not home to save it from running the entire time.
We have a programable thermostat, se those weird looking light bulbs. Tuen off lights if not in the room and do not leave the computer on if not in use.

We try to run the big appliances after 8pm when the electricity costs less – dishwasher, washer & dryer. We also have lowered the temp on our water heater.
