Creating a Chalk City {Review}

ABOUT:

Chalk City is a set of outdoor toys that combines kids two favorite things – sidewalk chalk and riding toys. It allows kids to easily stencil out a road course or obstacle course.

MY THOUGHTS:

My boys are constantly riding their bikes and toys up and down the driveway or drawing with their sidewalk chalk. With Chalk City they really get the best of both worlds! With something so simple as stencils and chalk they have had hours of fun so far. The stencils are easy to use and my boys are able to use them on their own, which makes them happy since they are now “big” boys. I can’t believe I never thought to draw a course for them, but honestly it would have never been as cool and nicely drawn if I didn’t have the Chalk City stencils.

The Chalk City sets include the Road Maker, Road Sign Stencils, and Obstacle Course Stencils. Perfect for kids riding toys or just running thru it – or jumping as there is a Jumping Jack Stencil! So far we have only used them in our driveway, which is concrete surfaced, but I do think they’d be much cooler on a black-top driveaway as they would stand out more. The Road Maker is a long piece that holds two pieces of chalk and allows you to make a “road” of course either straight or wavy. The Road Sign Stencils include four signs: Stop Sign, Straight Ahead, Detour Left, Detour Right. Finally the Obstacle Course Stencils set includes six obstacle signs: Jumping Jacks, Hop Both Feet, Spin Right/Left, Hop and Left Foot/Right Foot.

We are definitely bringing them to my in-laws as they have a huge newly paved school parking lot next to them. The sets even come in nice mesh bags for storage and easy transport. Oh and chalk is included with all the sets for immediate playing! For now though my boys are having a blast in our driveway and think the courses I make or they make are silly and fun. We will be having fun all summer and I’m sure for years to come! It is really a product for all ages!
