ABOUT THE BOOK:

It can be hard for women over 50 to lose weight and stay fit. Bodies change and old strategies don’t seem to work anymore. But readers can find encouragement and practical advice in this new book that combines inspiring Chicken Soup for the Soul stories written just for this book and accessible leading-edge medical information from Harvard Medical school assistant professor and weight management specialist Dr. Suzanne Koven.
MY THOUGHTS:
While I am only in my 30′s I was very inspired by this book.  To see how these women pushed and challenged themselves, it is amazing.  I feel like I no longer can make excuses for myself as these women are all older than me – age is no excuse!  Some of the women ran marathons in their 50s and 60s, while I can’t even run around the block!  I actually re-read a few stories as I was so impressed by these women and how they succeeded or at least tried in their goals!  In addition to the short stories there is even some actual medical advice.  This is also a smaller book than traditional Chicken Soup books.
