Don’t get me wrong, I love toys that my kids can sit and play with, but I do want them to move around every once in a awhile.  Sometimes they just need a break and need to get those “sillys” out!

Magic Moves Electronic Wand

Shake it up! Work it out! Magic Moves is all about…MOVIN’! Stomp like an elephant! Soar like an eagle! Ninety fun, physical commands, a twinkling light show, and a variety of musical styles get little ones up and keep them moving, exercising their bodies, creativity, and listening skills!

  • Promotes creative movement, gross motor skills, and physical activity
  • Develops listening skills and ability to follow directions; enriches vocabulary (sway, prowl, creep, leap…)
  • Perfect for group activities
  • Requires 3 AAA batteries (included)
  • Grades Pre-K +

My kids from ages 16 months to 5 years old love the Magic Moves Electronic Wand.  While it may seem from its appearance to be an average microphone, it actually says 90 creative movements and 26 different tunes, each with a light show of course.  It is a great way to kill the time and get kids moving.  I am using it with my 16 month old right now to teach her how to move around – like slithering, wiggling, stomping and more.  My boys are eager to show their little sister how to do the movements and honestly I am happy for anything to get them away from the television.

Volume control and On/Off:

We have tried other microphones before that play music but I really like how this one has the movement prompts because we all know kids listen to others (this toy) before they listen to their parents!  If I told my kids to Wiggle like a worm they would look at me like I’m crazy, but when the microphone says it, they start wiggling!

It is a super cute toy and easy to use with just two buttons.  It also comes with the 3 AAA batteries it requires (yeah for not having to search right away for batteries):

Here is a quick video of my kids using it:
