This year was the first year of my son being in elementary school and I don’t know if it was just the abundance of germs he is now exposed to or what, but we have had a rough few months. It started out with a cough then moved to the running nose then wheezing and soon my entire house was sick. With my 4 year old, a simple cold turns into an asthma attack and possibly a visit in the hospital.
The one thing that is rough though is when I get sick. Since I have a kindergartner, preschooler and toddler I need to be alert and can’t afford to be sick. I need to be able to take care of my kids and function at home, so my husband can go to work. So what do I do when I feel sickness taking over my body? I up my Vitamin C intake, wash my (and my kids) hands like crazy and I immediately stock up on NyQuil and DayQuil. Ever since I can remember I have relied on those two products and for me they go together with being sick just like peanut butter goes with jelly (or bread since I don’t like jelly.) Something about that little cup of golden green goodness going down and soothing my throat and lulling me to sleep always works. A few nights of NyQuil and days of DayQuil and I am back and running. They always work for me and are my go-to products for being sick.
Now don’t get me wrong, I have tried other brands’ products but none of them seem to work for me like NyQuil and DayQuil. They really are the all-in-one treatment for those everyday symptoms of cold and flu such as coughing, sniffling, sneezing, body ache, or fever. NyQuil for me puts me to sleep so I wake up rested, instead of up all night coughing and being miserable. Vicks NyQuil is available in Original (green), Cherry and Vanilla-Cherry – to me I drink it down so fast I don’t care what flavor it is. Not sure what product to take for your illness? On the Vicks website you can check out the Symptom Selector to see what medicine would work the best. The products are for 12+ year olds and you definitely want to take care using them as they can be abused if not taken properly.
So anyways for my family NyQuil and DayQuil are must have products at all times. We get sick year round and there is nothing worse then realizing you don’t have the right medication on hand late at night. While I have driven to Walgreens in the middle of the night to buy NyQuil, it is not something I hope to ever have to do in the future! For the few dollars each costs it is worth it to me to have on hand and I recommend them! There is a reason why they are the #1 pharmacist recommended brand for adult cough/cold/flu relief. Vicks DayQuil is there to get you through the day and Vicks NyQuil ensures a good night’s sleep.
