So this weekend was LONGGGGGGGG!!!
Friday night we cleaned the house and tried to relax a little bit, but with 2 kids under 2 the party never ends!
Saturday we drove almost an hour and a half to go to a pig roast (no I didn’t eat any- not that I don’t eat meat but I just couldn’t after I saw it in the smoker cooking). We were out all day with the boys – chasing my 19 month old and holding my spoiled 2 month old. We (my husband and I) visited with his friends then when it got dark and we started to become the mosquitoes dinner, we decided to call it a night. With the drive, we ended up not getting home until after 10 pm.
Then today we trekked off to Lincoln Park Zoo for a picnic with friends. It was a beautiful day, but again we were chasing and holding the boys! We had a nice lunch and enjoyed some fresh air because before we know it Chicago winter will be here! I now have to package up all my sold Ebay items to ship out and get laundry done, yeah me. I am not looking forward to this week as my husband is starting back up with grad school which means every Tuesday he is gone from 6 am until 10 pm. Then when he is home he needs time to study and do homework so that means less and less time for me. I am though starting to be able to function on less sleep so I guess I will have me time when everyone is sleeping–of course, that is before my 2 month old wakes up for his middle of the night feeding!
Once I get everything cleaned and get out of the swing of summertime I promise to be more attentive to my blog, so keep checking it out and I will keep everyone updated.
