Book Review: The Unseen by T.L. Hines

If you have not read before about me, I am an avid book lover. I always have a book that I am reading and always looking for recommendations. I just finished reading the book, The Unseen, and I surprisingly liked it. It just came out on September 30th of this year. I would classify it as a mystery/suspense novel and I usually read biographies or true crime novels. I read this 383 page book in 3 days and with 2 kids you can tell I really enjoyed the book. I can always tell if I like a book if I am sneaking pages here and there because I am dying to know what happens next and this book was a page turner.

It has many plot twists and at the end you will be surprised and then understand. I thought the author, T.L. Hines, did an excellent job of putting together all the plot twists and really making you understand the characters and be able to picture them. He does a great job creating a visual of places and characters and I stopped at points of the book just because I was picturing in my head the scene he just set.

The book is about a boy, Lucas, who creeps through buildings and watches people. He does not harm anyone or spy in peoples houses, until he meets a member of the Creep Club and realizes that the members enjoy watching people inside their homes in happy times and bad times. Lucas decides he must help some of the characters and intervenes in the Creep Club plans. This book kept me on my toes and really was a good mystery novel. It also really makes you think about people and places differently. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy all types of books as it was written well and is a great mystery novel.
