Many of you have probably heard of Netflix, if not it is basically a website that you pick out movies and they mail them to you then you mail them back when finished. You get so many movies a month for a subscription fee. Well if you are more of a book lover than Bookswim is the site for you! I just came across this site and I think it is a really neat and different service.
With Bookswim, you pick paperback and hardcover book titles and add them to your queue (like a wishlist). They have new realeases, classics, and all the bestsellers to choose from. There is no late fees and you do have the option to buy the book. Right now they are also offering gift cards that you can purchase and you will be entered into a contest to win a blue ray dvd player.
For the light reader, Bookswim costs $9.95 for the first month and then $19.95 thereafter for 3 books out at a time. I know you are proably thinking but hey I can get books for free at the library or just purchase them cheaper outright. Well Bookswim is definetly not for everyone but I could see it really benefiting people who are not near a library and don’t want to purchase book after book. With Bookswim once you receive a book if you decide you don’t like it you can send it back right away and get a new one. Or if you notice a book that you want and it is not listed, they say that 90% of book requests are granted and they will find that book for you!
They say “No Contracts. Cancel Anytime. Unlimited Rentals per Month. Free Shipping Both Ways. No Due Date. No Late Fees.”
I could see myself getting into this if I had time to read more, but I would probably not get $19.95 use out of this service right now. Although someone like my mom who reads like 5 books at a time would probably appreciate this site more! So I know this is costly and we are all trying to save, I just came across this site and wanted to pass it on.

It might have been. My mom actually told me about it and she is an Oprah watcher and Oprah loves books so maybe that is where my mom heard about it.
I saw this on Oprah, I think it was Oprah, recently!?
