How did you do at CVS?

First off let me say that I HEART CVS! I look forward every Sunday morning to flipping through the CVS and Walgreens flyers to see what I can get for FREE!!!! I know there are many of you die-hard coupon clippers and sales junkies, but the thought of paying $2 Saturday just for the Sunday paper kills me. I pay $4 a month and I get the paper delivered 4 days a week. I am considering also purchasing it on Saturdays if I know there will be some good coupons inside, but until then I will keep my Sunday morning sales paper ritual sacred.

Anyways, I went out Sunday morning and I did the CVS purchases for both me and my mom because she was not going out in that weather and I keep an extra CVS card from her. So in my picture there are double the stuff that was Free after Extra Bucks (EB).

My total out of pocket including taxes was $24.94 and if you see in the picture I had a $25 Kohl’s gift card. I also purchased some CVS brand cold cream that was being clearance out and was only $2.50 each. So basically the manufacturer coupons I used covered part of my Kohls gift card (I am not sure how?!) and the 2 tubs of cold cream face wash. I was joking with my husband that he will be the coolest guy when he is drinking his EAS chocolate energy shakes, eating the EAS chocolate power bars, and using the Zipfizz energy powder! He is also excited about having actual deoderant that works, as oppossed to whatever is on sale that I get for FREE for him and usually it wears off right away. I am excited about my new nail polish colors and that I was able to get a gift card for my sister for Christmas. I am also giving my 92 year old grandmother the medicine and heating pad I got as that is what she needs I was told! I wish I would have done the gift card in a seperate transaction to see my true total but I was already completing 2 seperate transactions because I had to use both my CVS card and my moms. So I just added the 2 reciepts above and that is what the total cost me including all the EB’s that I recevied.

So if you have not started CVS shopping, what are you waiting for?!?!? Don’t say it is not stuff you need because I am sure you use deoderant, mouthwash, something like Excedrin, and cough drops. Plus there are many products that I got for FREE that were actually great products that I probably would have never tried.
