Mommy Blogger + Widget = Great Contest!

ParentsConnect.com has released a local widget for mommy bloggers. They have decided to invite all all bloggers to participate in their Widget Contest with the grand prize being $1000! The winner is determined by what mommy blogger gets the most widget impressions by November. So not only will displaying this widget earn you an entry into an awesome contest, but as a blogger you will be sharing with your readers a valuable tool.

Basically the Parents Connect widget is a tool that can help parents discover what fun events and activities are available where they live. You can scroll through the days, change your location, and then scroll through the events. Once you see an event you are interested in, then you can click on it to read more about it. It is a neat tool because sometimes you are clueless as to what to do with the kids and this way you have choices! Another option is to see what is going on where you are going to be vacationing or visiting.

The Parents Connect website has so much else going on that it is easy to get lost at. With categories from Pregnancy to Teen, you can view hot topics about your child’s age, get expert advice, and connect with others.

They also have a section for Community, Deals, Food, Local, Lifebook, and Games. Then within each category is so much to read and learn. Parents Connect is a very user friendly and organized site and I love how bright and visual it is.
