Looking for a Father’s Day gift?

So my husband is not a jewelry guy, not that many men are, but one thing he does like is watches. He really could care less about clothes and shoes, but give him a cheap watch and he complains! So since I am a jewelry addict (mainly handmade and fake) and my platinum wedding ring set cost the same as an average car, I figured my husband was due something nice too. He works in a corporate setting and is slowly but surely working his way up, and he has really wanted a nice watch. So for his birthday two years I got him a Movado.

If you are not familiar with Movados, well they are expensive. By expensive I mean $500 and up, but they are made with excellent craftsmanship and have great 5 year warranties. When I originally bought my husbands Movado, I purchased it from the Movado store in the mall by us because I wasn’t sure exactly what he wanted and I wanted to be able to return it if I needed to. Now I know what he likes, and of course he is hinting at a new watch. Now of course he needs a black watch, with a leather band, his current watch is blue and silver. I have found an awesome site called The Watchery, that sells all the brand name luxury watches authentic with serial numbers at steals! They have Tag-Heuer, Movado, and Cartier.

I found the perfect watch for my husband, which I think will be perfect. It is a basic Movado Stainless Steel Black Museum Dial watch with a black leather strap. The Watchery actually has it for 50% off and Free Shipping! My favorite feature about Movado watches, especially if you have kids, is that it has a Scratch-resistant sapphire face and is water resistant up to 100 feet.

So if you are stuck on what to get your husband or dad for father’s day, then I suggest checking out The Watchery. I have not yet ordered from them, still thinking about it, but they have 100% positive feedback since 1999 and I have yet to read anything bad about them. I, of course, will post if I get it or a different one and let you know how it goes!

  • Thanks for the site Cher! My husband and I both LOVE our Movados. My husband got me mine as a birthday present and then when we went to Switzerland we got him one. Since they are made in Switzerland, we figured that they would be EVERYWHERE, but we were completely WRONG. We went to every watch store we could find in Lucerne until we found one that directed us to a store that carried them (super out of the way). It was funny because when we would ask, they would say you must be Americans, only Americans like Movado ~ (though I am sure the English gave them a strong clue too!) Despite the hassle, it was worth it. We paid about 1/2 of what it would have cost us in the States, but The Watchery seems quite a bit easier then traveling all of the way to Switzerland (though I wouldn't mind going back!)
