Dilmah Tea Review

Every now and then I really enjoy a nice cup of tea, but I am particular and won’t drink just any tea. Tea to me is a comfort drink and it really calms me, de-stresses me, and just relaxes me. Merrill J. Fernando is a tea aficionado who declared his commitment to tea back in the 1950’s and ever since has continued his passion for quality tea. Merill was joined by his sons and created the brand Dilmah, which he named after his sons.

Dilmah is the only vertically integrated tea company with its own tea gardens and state of the art printing and packaging facilities. So basically as Merrill says “my family cares for your tea, from the nursery right to your teacup.” Dilmah is a family owned company that really cares about quality and doesn’t cut costs to sacrifice flavor. Oh and not only does Merill and his family produce high quality tea, but they also fund the work of the MJF Charitable Foundation.

I received Ceylon Supreme Black Tea to check out and it is a traditional unblended tea that is delicious. Now when I saw “Ceylon” I was like “What is that?” Well Ceylon is actually referring to where it was grown, handpicked and packaged and Ceylon is now Sri Lanka. Dilmah tea is also single origin which is what makes the tea richer and fresher. DIlmah carries so many types and flavors that it would be hard not to find a favorite or for that matter, narrow it down to one favorite! Some types include: Original Garden Teas, Decaffeinated, Green Tea, Herbal Infusion, Rooibos, Real Chai, Organic, Real White Tea, and there are three pages of different flavored teas!

If you are looking for a new tea to try out or even want to know what all the hype is about, Dilmah is definitely a tea to try!
