Looking forward to my Outdoor Fire Pit…

As I look in our backyard I see our kids toys and other outdoor items, covered in snow. As much as I try to take care of our outdoor items, they do rust, fade, or just weather regardless of how I cover them. One item that I don’t think is going to make it through this winter is our outdoor fire pit.

Our best fire pit holds many wonderful memories and we have definitely gotten our use out of it. We had it for about three years and it was not a very expensive one either. I think we bought it on an impulse and at the time there was not many fire pit styles to choose from.

Now that I am dreaming about spring and summer, I am starting to think of how I am going to set up our backyard; we also had some landscaping done last year. Looking around online I cannot believe the huge selection of fire pits available, both inexpensive and really expensive. Now since I am all about getting the most use out of an item, I really like the fire pit tables that you cover up and are also a table, but my husband likes the decorative ones that look like outdoor fireplaces.

Whatever we decide to get, whether it be a basic one that does the job of entertaining and making smores of course, or a nicer one that creates a little more romantic of a setting, I am sure we will be happy. I told myself I am not going to be cheap when it comes to our new house, so the old me would have gotten the absolute cheapest fire pit, but the new me is considering one of the medium priced outdoor fireplaces! I just keep telling myself pretty soon, we can all sit as a family out on the deck and hopefully enjoy our new fire pit!
