I'm all for saving money and winning a free laundry makeover. HOWEVER, the use of the word 'pimp' to mean 'improve' is inaccurate and highly offensive. Pimps are people who sexually abuse and exploit women and children for profit. Up to 100,000 American children are at risk for exploitation by pimps each year, and pimps regularly recruit children as young as 12 into prostitution. Pimps who sell children or women who have been forced, coerced, or deceived into prostitution are human traffickers. Since pimping is both a crime and a leading cause of the rape and abuse of children, I am shocked that Sun Products Corporation and Wisk would create a contest which glamorizes pimping.
