Moving Services

So we are officially reaching one year of living in our house.  I still can’t believe how much we have done to this house in just the year we have lived here and how we were able to furnish it. I think though how lucky we were to have great local movers that didn’t break or loose anything.  I have heard horror stories of bad movers and how items had to be replaced and others couldn’t be replaced, and basically the homeowners were the ones that lost the most.

One company I have not checked out yet is Billy.com moving companies.  I am all about saving money but still getting high quality service, which is definitely not something easy to find.  I think we paid almost $1000 for our movers, but we had a lot of stuff, had it held overnight, and had a team of four people working quickly to get us out and then in our new house.  Before we chose the company we went with, we had three companies come out and assess our house with quotes and what they covered as far as damages and other costs.  We found companies from all over thru our search as many are nationally owned, but we finally found a great list of local companies here in Chicagoland.  There is also Austin moving services if you are in the Texas area.
