Herman T’s BBQ Sauce Review (& Giveaway Ends 8/15)

Herman T’s BBQ Sauce was created by Herman T Jones back in the 1950’s. Over the years, Herman T would share his sauce with anyone who would stop by the house. Flavored with the sweetness of honey and a touch of Smokey apple wood, this sauce became a huge hit. As time would go on, he finally passed his recipe on to his Grandson Brian, who then recreated the recipe for mass production.  Now today, Chef Brian has turned his Grandfather famous sauce into Herman T’s BBQ Sauce Mix. While keeping all of the essential ingredients intact, this sauce mix is sure to make your mouth dance.

• One pouch of mix makes 3/4 gallon of delicious BBQ sauce.
• Ready in under 10 minutes.
• Always fresh — make as much or as little as you want.

MY THOUGHTS:

Making this sauce was was so easy, but eating it was even easier!  I tried out the Mild Packet and you open up the packet and mix it with water and ketchup.  You can make as little or much as you want, which is nice because then it will be fresh each time you want to use it!  My husband was skeptical about it since it is mixed with ketchup, but it doesn’t taste like ketchup at all.  It is the same consistency and smoothness and ketchup, but does have a BBQ taste that I can’t describe other than to say it was delicious as my family and I dipped our Smoked Sausage with it!  I think it would be great with anything you would typically use BBQ with.  I love though how it was really simple to make and that there is a Mild or Spicy version depending on tastes.  I haven’t tried the Spicy version but I am sure it too is yummy!
