Vampire Diaries – Love, Suspense & Bonus Features!

Okay so I love scary movies and suspense, but I do always jump and get scared.  Even with my favorite TV shows, where I usually know what is going on.  Well Vampire Diaries is one of my favorites where even though I have read the books, there is so much that has changed that I jump.

Don’t get me wrong Vampire Diaries is a show basically involving a love triangle between a girl and the two Salvatore brothers, but there is definitely some suspense and scary scenes in it.  I would say especially towards the end of Season 1, more suspense has built up to make the show more than just teenage romance.

From scenes including a séance, to vampires returning from the deadly tomb they were locked in, there really are some scary scenes.  One of my favorites is a more recent episode called “Miss Mystic Falls” where Stefan’s bloodlust get’s the best of him and he turns quite scary.  It was hard to see him not look like the sweet and sensitive Stefan I was used to.  There were other scenes where people were attacked, stabbed with a wooden stake, hit by a bus, powerful witches and more!  I also thought the Season Finale was awesome and left me begging for more!  I highly recommend checking out the Vampire Diaries Season 1 before September 9^th which is when the new season starts!

Other than all 22-episodes, there are over eight hours of Bonus Features!  The Bonus Features including four mini-episodes, unaired scenes, gag reel, webisodes, commentary and a downloadable audio book of the original novel The Vampire Diaries:  The Awakening by L.J. Smith.   I loved watching the Bonus Features almost as much as the show because it gives extra insight into the show and I love how it goes behind the scenes.
