Breyers is searching for the next great sundae with their Sundae Scoop-Off Contest. From now until September 13, 2010, the Sundae Scoop-Off Contest is challenging America to create original, family-friendly ice cream recipes, with 10 or fewer ingredients.
You can check out the complete contest requirements and recipes at the Breyers website. The grand prize is $10,000, a trip to Chicago featuring a private cooling lesson with renowned pastry Chef Gale Gand and one year of Free Breyers ice cream! Oh and the recipes will be judged on taste, creativity, use of Breyers ice cream and presentation!
Now I am not too creative, but I love ice cream and I think this would be fun to try out, especially as a family activity – whether you submit your recipe or not. Set out all the toppings you can think of and have a Sundae Bar in your kitchen on a small scale, on a bigger scale submit a recipe – it can’t hurt!
