My Hair This Summer…

This summer has really taken a toll on my hair.  Between swimming and the sun, my hair cannot decide what to do.  It is normally wavy, but sometimes my curls really pop out and I look somewhat clownish after a few minutes in the humidity!  I don’t normally mind my hair but it is getting crazy!  So I use a flat iron pretty much every day to straighten it out and make it a little shiny.  The trick though is to find the Best Flat Iron that works for your hair type.  Now my hair is really stubborn and I need a flat iron that really heats up to a high temperature.

I don’t always blow dry my hair, as I don’t get a lot of alone time and plus I can’t stand to blow dry when it is already hot out!  So I have found that some of the Best Flat Irons have ceramic plates that really heat up in seconds.  I have also seen some that reduce frizz by retaining hair moisture.  I also am fine with it being a 1” inch plate since I do my hair in sections anyways.  I have tried a bunch of different brands and priced flat irons, and it really manners on your hair type.  My current one was about $130 and it really works the best out of all the ones I have right now.  My sister though has pretty straight hair to begin with and hers was around $40, so it depends on how stubborn your hair is and how much you use it!
