“Disney Live! Mickey’s Magic Show” Review

Yesterday my family and I attended the Disney Live! Mickey’s Magic Show performance at the Rosemont Theatre.  I admit I did not have high hopes for the magic part because it was a Disney show.  I didn’t see how Mickey and the gang could perform magic.  Well I was wrong, the show was incredible!  There were two magicians that helped out with the tricks and led some parts.

The show not only included Mickey, Mickey, Goofy, and Donald Duck, but also Alice in Wonderland, Cinderella, Jasmin, Snow White, Gaston, Belle, and more!  I had no clue there would be so many special appearances so we were pleasantly surprised.  The show was about 1:30 minutes with a fifteen minute intermission.  The magic they did though was truly amazing and Disney or not, they did all the popular tricks.  Cut some one in half – done!  Float in the air – done!  Trade spaces with someone else – done!  And those are just some of the tricks they did.  My husband and I talked all the way home about how they accomplished the tricks as we couldn’t figure it out!  There was singing, dancing, and the show really was full of excitement.  I actually would say it has been one of my favorite Mickey shows.  My boys did better than expected for a live show as they prefer ice shows or more animated shows, since they are 2 and 3 only they didn’t understand the tricks too much.  There was one part though with broomsticks from when Mickey was a Sorcerer that was great though and they laughed and laughed!

I recommend this show for any Disney fans, magicians at heart, or both!  The tricks amazed my husband and I as the characters kept my kids happy.
