Marie Callender’s Baked Meals Review (& Giveaway Ends 12/3)

Marie Callender’s has a new line of Baked Meals  that are prepared with care so you can be sure you’re sharing and savoring something special with your loved ones.  They come in a baking tray so they cook evenly in the microwave.

Varieties:

• Chicken, Spinach, and Mushroom Lasagna
• Creamy Chicken Alfredo with Sun Dried Tomatoes
• Scalloped Potatoes & Ham in a Creamy Swiss Cheese Sauce
• Southwestern Style Chipotle Chicken Bake

• Vermont White Cheddar Mac & Cheese

MY THOUGHTS:

I am all about quick and convenient cooking.  I don’t really like standing around and baking or cooking from scratch and with two young boys I don’t have a lot of time (or sanity) to cook at dinnertime – that is when they are their crabbiest for some reason.  I often purchase frozen meals and dishes that I can quickly cook, and since I have tried Marie Callender’s in the past I was excited to try out the new Baked Meals by Marie Callender’s.  I especially love that they cook up in 15 minutes and cost less than $6.00 each.

I slaved (LOL) over the Vermont White Cheddar Mac & Cheese tonight and it was delicious!  It took only about 8 minutes in the microwave and it was evenly cooked as promised.  I served it up with some mini meatloaves and veggies and it was a hit.  I love that it was such an easy but still quality side dish that I could make for my family.  I will definitely be checking out the other varieties especially the Three Meat and Four Cheese Lasagna which looks like a perfect portion for us.  The Vermont White Cheddar Mac & Cheese was a decent size portion for a side dish but definitely needs to go with something as I am assuming the other dishes are the same size.
