MY THOUGHTS:

DHA was so important when my son’s were babies, but since they outgrew formula they seemed to not be a big focus on DHA.  I always thought of DHA as “brain fuel” so I figure I should still be giving it to my boys because they are still growing and developing.  I love that the Twinlab MarineFriends Omega-3 is in a powder form because then I can slip it into whatever they are eating or drinking.  They are usually pretty good about taking their vitamins but sometimes they are lazy and just don’t want to chew them!  I added one of these packets to my son’s apple juice sippy cup and he didn’t even notice.  It does recommend ice cold drinks which I think made it blend in better and leave no taste.  Since it has fish oil powder (tuna) I was worried it would taste or smell fishy, but there is only a slight fish smell and one I added it to the juice I didn’t notice the smell.  It is for children ages 1 and up including adults!  It is also quality tested for purity.  I figure I know how benefitical fish oil is for adults and I know DHA  is important for kids so this product seems like a no brainer to give my kids.  I don’t see how it could hurt them and it helps support normal brain, eye, and heart health.
