MY THOUGHTS:

I admit when Guitar Hero first came out, I thought it was stupid. I like games where you have challenges and have to fight bad guys. I thought Guitar Hero was just a game for musicians to play, when in reality it is a great game for anyone to unwind or play with friends! My husband and I have been playing Guitar Hero almost every night and love it! The best part about buying the Warriors of Rock Super Bundle is that it comes with everything you need to start playing. You can of course buy the Warriors of Rock game separate as well as the instruments separate, but for us since we had nothing this was the perfect set. It comes with a microphone, guitar, game, and drum set, and I think the price is quite reasonable for all that!

As far as the game goes, this was my first Guitar Hero game so I don’t have anything to compare it to but as a Guitar Hero newbie, I really like it and think it is great whether you are a beginner or advanced user. The game has over 90 songs to choose from (you can see the entire track list at the Amazon Guitar Hero gamepage) and are mainly rock songs, that you may or may not be familiar with. There are other Guitar Hero games you can buy just the game and there are songs you can download too if your Wii (or PS3/XBox360) is connected to the Internet. I haven’t tried it out yet as we are having trouble connecting our Wii to the Internet but it sounds like a great way to expand your music library!

Since we have gotten Guitar Hero it has definitely become the focus of our get together and family time. Even though my boys are only 2 and 3 they love to play the guitar and drums, and pretend to sing into the microphone. My favorite is the drums, which I have never played an instrument before in my life, and my husband loves the guitar. We also got an extra guitar so we can both play guitar if we want, or one guitar and one bass. Guitar Hero is really great though for all ages and even people that aren’t musically-inclined, it is surprisingly a great game too to break the ice and whip out and play at parties!

GUITAR HEROOOOOO!!!!

Oh man, I'm a HUGE GH junkie-I love it! I can't believe they came out with a new one already. I'm not exactly sure how much I like them going the direction of Rock Band, but I guess it's just something I'll have to try out in the future to see if I like :)
