Insurance for What?

Insurance is everywhere.  There is homeowners, auto, boat, motorcycle, life, health, pet and even funeral insurance.  I feel like everyday I see some form of media about insurance and it is definitely overwhelming.  Luckily my husband works for a great insurance company who we have our house and auto insurance from, and as an employee he gets life and health insurance.  We don’t have pets so that one is not something we need to think about nor are we ready to think about funerals.

There are so many different state regulations to consider in addition to what your needs are.  Each state also seems to have a popular company that they focus on like in New York there is New York Burial Insurance. I really am clueless though where you would begin to look though and it honestly is not something I am even ready to think about.

I feel like there is so much information out there and not really any direction over where to look for great insurance info.  Maybe such a site exists or resource but I have yet to come across anything.  I am not saying anything either way, but I was just amazed at how much is out there without really any guidance.
