Advertising…

So my mom is a Power Seller on Ebay and lately has been thinking about some kid of advertising.  She sells a little of everything as she is always changing her inventory.  I am always amazed at the items she gets and sells, but she does quite well and it pays the bills for her.

Since her inventory is not specific towards anything, like some people sell only clothes or figurines; her advertising would be for her store name.  I told her promotional pens would be a great start since everyone uses pens and they travel around people so easily!  I thought she could hand out pens or leave them places, or even put them in with her items she sells in hopes that people become a repeat customer.  (For example, right now she is selling these white work shirts so if someone likes the shirt they get if they hurry they can probably still buy more of them from her.)  She mentioned custom pencils but at least for me I never use traditional pencils anymore as I prefer the mechanical ones since I don’t want to have to search for a pencil sharpener!

I also suggested business cards that she could slip in her packages and they are relatively inexpensive or even custom envelopes.  My mom has also been selling a lot of collectible postage stamps lately and a nice envelope to put them in would be great advertising too.
