I love my bathroom vanity!

One of my favorite features of our house is that we have two bathroom vanities in our master bedroom.  We have one with a sink (although my husband would prefer two sinks) and across from it we have another counter with two small drawers that I use as a makeup vanity.  I bought a nice little chair and I can’t even begin to say how nice it is to sit and put on makeup and style my hair (especially being pregnant and not wanting to stand!)

In our past two houses we had vanities for small bathrooms and there really was no counter space.  Our first house had pedestal sinks in both bathrooms and I remember having everything thrown in baskets on the floor.  Our second house had a very small counter but luckily I had a nice shelving unit built in behind the door to hold my items.  Maybe I am just spoiled now but I think vanities for bedrooms should be bigger and nicer.  I know that is being spoiled too because not all houses have master bedrooms with vanities, but if they do they should be nice.

It is funny how until I had a nice master bedroom with vanity I didn’t realize what I was missing.  I made do and it worked for us.  We also remodeled one of our other bathrooms to have a new vanity counter and cabinet and that was very cheap to do (we didn’t get anything fancy.)
