Fandango App + Cars 2 = Priceless! #gocars2

I can’t believe it has been five years since Lightening McQueen first strolled into Radiator Springs!  My boys were not even born yet and somehow it is still their favorite movie, yes I can pretty much recite the movie by now.  So when I heard rumors that a Cars 2 movie was on its way I knew it would be a must-see for us.  This Cars movie takes place in Japan and Europe as Lightening McQueen competes in the World Grand Prix race.  Mater has a big part in this movie too as he gets caught up in some international espionage, yes James Bond style!

Now since this movie is probably going to sell out because really who doesn’t want to see Cars 2, I figured we better buy tickets ahead of time.  Since my husband is all about his iPhone, he was excited to see there is a Fandango App you can download.  I let him start the App download (which was super easy) and then I grabbed his phone and took over the ticket purchase!  What is great about the App is you can do purchase the tickets anywhere, anytime.  So no waiting for the computer to boot up or trying to get to a computer (especially if it is a spur of the moment ticket purchase) just open up the Fandango App and you are ready to go!

When you first load the Fandango App you have 2 choices:  Use Current Location or Enter Location.  So since I was going to be purchasing Cars 2 tickets for the theater closest to use, I chose “Use Current Location.”  Since the iPhone has your coordinates in it, it displayed the theaters closest to us, which was super convenient.  The first screen though shows options though for “Opening This Week, “Near Me,” “Coming Soon,” and more.  Since Cars doesn’t come out until Friday June 24^th, I chose Coming Soon and scrolled down to Cars2.  I was able to view movie photos, the trailer, showtimes, cast, information and even reviews!  I scrolled to the day I wanted to see the movie and it displayed the theaters near my house and showtimes I could choose from.

I was able to buy the tickets for the four of us (my husband and I and our two boys) with just a few clicks of a button!  I even had it send the confirmation receipt to my email address.  You can also Add the event to your calendar so you don’t forget, especially sine you can buy tickets for over a week in advance!  Even if you are not buying tickets in advance though, the Fandango App is great because you don’t have to wait in line to buy tickets – you just proceed directly to the ticket taker with your printed ticket voucher (or you can print it out at the box office.)

Overall, downloading the Fandango App took seconds and purchasing the tickets took a couple minutes and with that my family is all set and ready to go see the movie!  Now if it sells out or the box office is busy, we don’t have to worry!  Cars 2 will be my youngest sons (3 years old) first movie and I am so excited that it will be a sequel to his favorite movie!  Now if only the Fandango App could save good seats for us in the theater and bring us popcorn and soda, we’d be all set!
