With every teen show comes drama, especially when it comes in the romance department. Whether teens are on tv or off there is always a crush, steady boyfriend or girlfriend, or some other form of puppy love. I was a teenager not too long ago (well maybe a little more than awhile ago) and I remember what it was like.
Pretty Little Liars is a show full of drama, mystery, and most importantly love. The four main characters all have their relationship issues and its funny how you end up rooting for them to make it or break up. There is Emily who had a boyfriend in the beginning but then came out as a lesbian after kissing a girl, Spencer goes for older guys usually but did have a great boyfriend who was from a lower class than her and I rooted for, Hanna had a boyfriend but was kind of back and forth with him, and Aria fell for her English teacher.
My favorite romance so far though is Hanna’s with the new guy, the rebel Caleb. She as first was using him, and then found out he was using her, but she still fell for him. They got pretty serious but her snobby BFF Mona got in the way and threw away a letter where Caleb tells Hanna he loves her! He then leaves for Arizona but dorky Lucas (who has a crush on Hanna but also wants her to be happy) brings Caleb back from Arizona to be with Hanna, and then the show ended for the season! I am rooting for Caleb and Hanna because I think they make a cute couple and work. I think Hanna has had a rough time and deserves a guy who will treat her right, and I hope Caleb comes around as that guy for her. Its funny how girls fall for the bad boys, and how some of the bad boys are really good guys at heart!
Overall, Pretty Little Liars has it all and keeps me entertained. I think I watch it because I am a sucker for young love and would rather watch teen shows than shows with family lives (I have our own family sitcom going on everyday at our house!)
