We have a giant square coffee table in our basement perfect for board games but it is old and second hand. We have a coffee tables and end tables set in our living room but again it is second hand and the wood finish is wearing away on the top. I would love to replace both of those but it is not in our budget right now so I have just been shopping around online. The set we have is circle end tables and an oval coffee table with adorable lion feet. I am thinking of trying to re-finish the tops of them but was told because of the wood grain that it wouldn’t look right.
My husband really wants something different like rectangular end tables and coffee table. I might consider it if I screw up our current set, but it would be a change since we are used to circles and oval. It would be nice too be able to pick out the color of the set too since we didn’t get to pick that out either, we took what we could get. Its funny how whenever we needed something, someone in our family happened to be getting rid of exactly what we needed! My husband saw the American drew coffee tables and like them so we’ll see. It will probably be awhile because I don’t want to replace furniture until the kids are done destroying what we have!
