Gossip Girl Fashions: Serena and Blair

While I am nowhere near a fashion expert, nor do I even know the current trends, I do love seeing what Blair and Serena come up with each week.  Blair is more uptight and classic Upper East Side chic while Serena is sexy and just thrown together.  I think if I had to choose a style I preferred it would be Serena because she doesn’t put much thought into her clothes and yet always looks fashionable.  Don’t get me wrong, Blair looks great and I’d love her clothes too but her clothes are just too uptight for me (not to mention they all have to be ironed, which I don’t have a maid for!)

In Season 4 of Gossip Girl, Blair and Serena continued on with their fashion trends.  My favorite Blair dress was at the end of the season when she and Prince Louis are talking .  The long black thin dress with feathers and sequin top just flow together so nicely and look so classy.

I love this dress on Blair (definitely wouldn’t work on my chubby body nor would I even have anywhere to wear it!):

Serena is pretty opposite of Blair in the sense that her clothes are either casual or flowing, sexy dresses.  She really doesn’t have to try to look beautiful and I can’t see her looking bad in anything.  While Serene is usually in short mini-dresses or long flowing formal dresses, it was nice to see her dressy casual in an episode where she met a boy on the pier.   She looked so down to earth and like a regular character, instead of the rich girl from the Upper East Side.

The rest of the Gossip Girl gang definitely have their own styles that I enjoy watching but nothing compares to the outfits on Serena and Blair.  Then again their outfits probably costs the amount of my whole wardrobe!  Luckily I can enjoy the fashion from my tv and dreams!
