My husband is fortunate enough to be able to work from home one day a week thanks to web conferencing. I am able to schedule any appointments or errands on those days and it is definitely a lifesaver. I am always amazed at how many places close up shop at 5 PM, which is terrible for those people whose jobs are not flexible. I know weekends are usually good for errands but then again hours are limited and places are usually so busy. I hate running out on weekends.
Now my husband has a good setup in the office for working and he has taken over my office space. He has a Mac for music, his work laptop and an extra monitor for his email. He basically has no room on his desk for anything else! Without a web meeting solution from his work, he would not have the work from home option, but luckily his work has special software available. Now online events can be completed anytime my husband needs them to. I will say though it is a challenge to keep the kids away from bothering him because they of course want to be by him and don’t understand he’s working.
