My 4 year old loves this set and I love it because it keeps him busy and is reasonably priced at less than $10! It features 218 pieces to build two trucks and then a few extra accessories and workers are included. The pieces are LEGO-sized and before you ask, yes they are compatible with LEGOs. The Bloks are a just a different plastic material but the same size.
As far as putting these trucks together goes, even though it says Ages 5 and up I’d say kids need help. While the directions are clear and have good pictures, there are a lot of steps for kids to follow and little pieces to use. Although once together we did find them to be pretty durable (not durable as if they were one piece but good enough to play a little bit with.) The only problem we had was once you have to be careful not to loose pieces or get them mixed with other blocks. (We are currently searching for pieces since my sons took them apart, which is why I don’t have actual pictures of completed trucks!)
Overall though the price of The Blok Squad Construction Site set is great, especially for two trucks and workers, and the set really kept my boys engaged. We will be definitely looking for the other Blok Squad sets!

i hate when we lose pieces! we have a large collection of misc that they build with that used to all be part of sets. (I've never bought a set of just blocks)
I used to try to keep everything together, now I just aim at them with the vaccuum! Pretty soon they will all go away because Olivia will be crawling and putting them in her mouth!
Yes we went through a lego free period too but luckily Bryan didn't put stuff in his mouth for too long so they were back out before he was 2, they just didn't STAY out like they are now.
I don't think their is a room in my house that doesn't have a block in it! It is crazy how they multiply everywhere!
