Making the experience all the more magical, three guests of the grand prize winner will be given seats in the grandstands on Colorado Boulevard as VIP guests of DOLE!

The grand prize winner, plus their three guests, will celebrate their victory with a five day, four night trip to Los Angeles – from December 30, 2011 to January 3, 2012 – to see the DOLE float in the 2012 Rose Parade on New Year’s Day in beautiful Pasadena, California.

The parade actually is on Jan. 2nd this year because the 1st is a Sunday, stupid rule. But this is what they do. I checked it online, then called my Dad who used to help out with the parade for many years.

That's nice and all, but since when is the Rose Parade on January 2nd??? It's ALWAYS on January 1st. Looks like a typo to me.
