I have hair, where?

So recently my mom pointed out a chin hair on me.  I thought she was joking and couldn’t believe that I had chin hair.  I mean isn’t that something old people have?  Well call me old because I now find one hear and there weekly!  I am embarrassed to say this, but I figure I am not the only woman out there who has it.  (or if I am please humor me and don’t laugh at me.)  Since I still don’t think about it, it has gotten to the point that I carry tweezers with me because I always notice the said-hair when I am out and going somewhere!  Luckily my husband has not noticed (or maybe he knows better than to say something) but it sucks now that for the rest of my life I will have to check my chin area for sprouting hairs!  Don’t I have enough to worry about and shave or tweeze that I now need to add my chin to that list?

Oh and to make matters worse, while tweezing I also noticed a gray hair in my eyebrows!  Seriously who gets gray hairs in their eyebrow hairs!

  • In my family, we women get chin hair and gray hair streaks. Its nuts! I'm thirty-six and I have a sideways gray hair skunk stripe on the left side of my head. Isn't that crazy!

  • I turned 56 today and have had chin hair for a few years now which is annoying enough...but I also still battle acne. How is that fair???

  • Welcome to the club! Now that I'm in my 40's I keep tweezers in the car. Best light to see the chin hair. What's really bad is that just about the time you get these hard to see hairs, you eyesight starts getting bad! Oh the joys of aging!

    • Too funny! I keep them in my car too but I didn't think about how hard it will be to see them in a few years!

  • Yep, I got those when I was pregnant. Dr. said it was hormonal. I splurged last year and bought a laser treatment package to get rid of the suckers. (I had them terribly bad on my upper lip also.) It's SO nice not to have to tweeze and wax all the time now. I won't lie, the laser treatments hurt, and were expensive...but it is worth it.

  • You are not alone. I have had this problem since I turned 30. It's incredibly annoying. I have to check daily and I still miss some. I get them on my neck too. I haven't found any gray hairs in my eyebrows yet, but I have found a few gray hairs on my head. I didn't think this would happen til I was at least 50. Hormonal maybe? Inherited? Dunno, but very annoying.

  • The joys of getting older. I must admit I have seen a hair or two on my chin as well. Tweezers are my best friend too. No gray hair in the eyebrows (yet).
