So we are officially in the season of winter now in Chicago and its kinda strange that we have had only an inch or so of snow so far. I feel like snow is just stockpiling up there ready to hit us at anytime. Last year we had over 14 inches of snow come down in a day, this year they are saying it is going to be worse! Now I know weathermen are typically wrong, but so many news stations and even the farmers almanac are saying it will be a bad year for snow and cold.
We were luckily prepared last year as we didn’t loose power and had plenty of food, but you can never be too safe! I am thinking I am going to Buy Emergency Foods to keep on hand in case we get snowed in. Since we are in an unincorporated sub-division, we are the last to get plowed so it is luckily that we could be trapped in our sub-division. After some research I found BuyEmergencyFoods.com to carry all sorts of survival packs that you can buy and even freeze dried food here. I am definitely going to do some cleaning out and restocking of our pantry and paper goods, including bottled water and granola bars. Hopefully we won’t have to use any of it, but just in case I want to be prepared.
